WATCH: Tullamore's Chasing Abbey share song in support of fuel protest
Tullamore band Chasing Abbey have shared a new song in support of the ongoing fuel protests taking place across the country.
In a statement shared online, the group said they "stand with" the protests, and "deeply oppose" the government response.
"These people deserve immediate assistance to ensure their livelihoods are not lost. At the same time, it’s important to remember a major root cause of the issue at hand, and that is warmongering, violent countries waging war across the Middle East. We can all stand up for what is right together."
Chasing Abbey, formed in 2016, are songwriters, producers, and multi-instrumentalists Ronan Bell, Jonathan Byrne and Ted Conway.
The trio, who formed the band while they were still at school, have become known for their explosive fusion of electronic production and Celtic influences and have gone on to achieve multiple platinum singles, sell out venues across the world, and build a reputation for their powerful live performances.
