Birr's County Arms reveals newly-renovated ballroom

The County Arms in Birr has released images of its newly renovated Moorpark Ballroom, following last week’s announcement of the facility's much-anticipated reopening.

The hotel described the renovated ballroom as "a space that blends timeless elegance with refined, contemporary detail" and reflects a "heritage-forward" design concept.

Inspired by the Georgian character of Birr, the renovation reinterprets traditional features such as cornicing, ceiling detail and wall panelling for a modern setting.

The project was led by interior designer Susan McGowan, of Ashen & Cloud, and was brought to life with the support of local craftspeople and artisans, ensuring the finished space remains closely connected to both the building's and the town's history.

Now open for weddings and events, the Moorpark Ballroom continues County Arms’ long-standing tradition of hosting celebrations with exceptional care, attention to detail and a commitment to delivering a memorable experience for every couple.

Couples are invited to experience the space in person at the upcoming Wedding Showcase on Sunday week, April 19.
