Expressions of interest sought from Offaly schools and groups for 2026 CLÁR funding

Offaly County Council is seeking expressions of interest from schools, community and voluntary groups and Local Development Companies for potential projects for funding under Measure 1 of the 2026 CLÁR Scheme.

The CLÁR funding scheme, a targeted investment programme for rural areas that aims to provide funding for small infrastructural projects in areas that experience disadvantage.

Measure 1 includes support for Schools/Community Safety Measures such as: pedestrian crossings, access footpaths, car parking facilities, bus shelters, and public lighting.

Under the 2026 Scheme, Offaly County Council can submit a maximum of 12 applications seeking funding of between €5,000 and €65,000, and two applications seeking funding of between €5,000 and €100,000.

Measure 1: Developing Community Facilities & Amenities are projects delivered via local authorities (LAs).

Measures 2 & 3 are administered by the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht.
