Ploughing championships to be delayed by a week in 2027
The staging of the 2027 National Ploughing Championships has been moved back a week to prevent a clash with the Ryder Cup at Adare Manor, Limerick.
This year's Ploughing Championships will go ahead as scheduled at Screggan, Tullamore from September 15 to 17. Last year, the three-day event attracted crowds of over 225,000 to its Offaly venue.
However, with the 2027 Ryder Cup between Europe and USA taking place in Limerick from September 13 to 19, a decision has been made by the National Ploughing Association to hold its 2027 event from September 21 to 23.
A final decision on its venue for the 2027 National Ploughing Championships has not yet been announced.
