Offaly handed Tailteann Cup Tullamore tie
Offaly have been handed a home draw against Down or Leitrim in their next Tailteann Cup outing.
Following on from their impressive three point win over Clare in Ennis in Round 1 of the competition on Saturday evening (the county senior footballer's first competitive win of 2026), Offaly will throw in against either Ulster or Connacht opponents in Tullamore on the weekend of May 23/24.
The Round 2A fixture sees the winners of the eight Round 1 ties meeting each other with the losing counties from these fixtures still having one more opportunity to stake their claim for the Tailteann Cup.
Rounds 2A (the eight winners from round 1) and 2B (the eight losers from round 1) will take place on the weekend of May 23-24.
Round 3, featuring the four losers from round 2A and four winners from round 2B will take place on June 6-7 with a draw to determine home venue. There will be the avoidance of repeat pairings from round 1 where possible.
Three of the winners from round 2A will then progress to the quarter-final stage on June 13-14 with one county to play New York in a preliminary quarter-final on the weekend of June 6-7.
The preliminary quarter-final winner and the three other round 2A winners will be at home to the round 3 winners in the quarter-finals on June 13-14, with the semi-finals taking place a week later and the final scheduled for July 11.
