Daingean's Peatlands Tour to give back to its local community

The Daingean Grand Canal Wheelers hosts its annual 'Peatlands Tour' cycling event this weekend – with two local organisations set to benefit from proceeds raised from the races.

This year's event, which was recently launched at The Gaelic Bar, takes place on Saturday, May 16 and registration is still open for both the 40km and 80km routes.

The event will raise funds for Daingean National School and Daingean Development Association. This year's event is sponsored by The Gaelic Bar, Midland Veterinary, Hotshot Coffee, Scully's XL Foodstore, and Glenisk.

Entrants can pre-register for both routes on the Cycling Ireland website, or register on Saturday morning (from 8am) at the Town Hall.
