New Edenderry parking bye-laws come into effect in June

New parking bye-laws for Edenderry will officially come into effect on Tuesday, June 2, following a five-week public consultation process.

Under the updated regulations, all-day parking in the town will be restricted to O’Connell Square from the implementation date onward.

Local authorities say the changes are aimed at improving traffic flow, increasing turnover in short-term parking areas, and supporting easier access for shoppers and visitors in the town centre.

The new pricing structure is as follows: 30 minutes for 50 cent, 60 minutes for €1, and 90 minutes for €1.50.

Parking for 120 minutes for €2 will be available on JKL Street only, while all-day parking for €4 will be available in O’Connell Square only.
