Ferbane Area Community Games claims All-Ireland glory

Ferbane Area Community Games have made history after securing a superb victory in the Under 10 Indoor Soccer All-Ireland Finals, held in Drumlish, Longford, where the young Offaly side delivered two excellent performances to take national honours.

Ferbane began their campaign in impressive fashion with a commanding 4–1 semi-final win over a strong Sligo outfit. Playing with confidence and sharp attacking intent, they produced a composed display marked by accurate passing, strong teamwork and clinical finishing to book their place in the final.

In the decider, Ferbane faced a highly regarded Kerry team, but once again the Offaly champions rose to the challenge. In an entertaining and fast-paced final, Ferbane produced another standout performance to run out 5–2 winners and secure the All-Ireland title.

The success was built on a strong collective effort from the squad of six: Evan Phelan, Josh Murray, Harley Buckley, Fionn Barrett, Tom Feighery and Éanna Mitchell, all of whom represented Ferbane Area Community Games with pride, determination and excellent sportsmanship throughout the competition.

Team managers Gerard Murray and Trevor Phelan were central to the achievement, with their preparation, guidance and encouragement helping to steer the group to national success.

It marks a proud occasion for the players, their families and the wider Ferbane area, as the young squad return home All-Ireland champions following a memorable day of skill, teamwork and commitment.
