Two evenings of 'Fiver Friday' race meetings at Fairyhouse

Fairyhouse Racecourse have announced a new initiative where they will be offering €5 entry at their two upcoming June Friday evening race-meetings, on Friday 5th and 12th June.

Jockey Sadhbh Tormey was on hand to launch the initiative alongside the aptly named racehorse Fiver Friday, trained by Gavin Cromwell. Tormey, a native of Garristown is a rising figure in the Irish weigh room, and enjoyed a landmark day at Fairyhouse in June last year registering her first career win aboard Are You In Or Out during her leaving cert exams.

The two Fiver Friday racedays will be the perfect opportunity for racing fans, locals and those looking to experience and enjoy an unbeatable value summer evening out.

There will be music on both evenings in the enclosure, as well as outdoor seating and food units, with the Fiver Friday racedays set to be a wonderful opportunity to welcome in existing and new racegoers to Fairyhouse Racecourse to enjoy an evening of fast flat racing action.

The first race on Friday 5th June takes place at 4.55pm, with the first race taking place at 5.02pm on Friday 12th June.

John Sheridan, Fairyhouse Racecourse general manager, says: “I’m really excited to see how our Fiver Fridays initiative performs. The team has put a lot of effort into designing the customer experience for both evenings which will see additional entertainment on the day along with additional food options all complementing what should be a really competitive card on both days. We just need the weather to play ball to put the icing on the cake!’’
