Tullamore stage school presents hefty cheque to Offaly Dochas
Tullamore Stage School choirs recently presented €5,000 to Dochas Offaly Cancer Support Services, following its end of year showcase ‘Summer Sounds’.
Featuring a cast of over 140 performers, young and old, the 'Summer Sounds' performance showcased a variety of songs, showcasing not only the talents of the school members but also its dedication to enhancing community spirit.
On receiving the cheque, Dochas said: “We are absolutely honoured to receive a phenomenal donation of €5,000 from the talented students, choirs, staff and wider community of Tullamore Stage School. To every performer, organiser, volunteer, supporter and audience member who contributed to this wonderful event, Dóchas thanks you for the generosity, talent and community spirit. The support truly makes a difference.”
Dochas added that 'a very special word of thanks' must go to Regina McCarthy, director of the stage school, 'whose unwavering support and dedication over the past three years has helped raise an incredible total of more than €14,000 for Dochas Offaly Cancer Support'.
