Community prepares for Durrow Pattern Day 2026

Durrow Pattern Day is preparing for a full day of celebration on Tuesday, June 9.

The day will begin with a First Holy Communion Mass at 10am, followed by the St. Colmcille Feast Day Mass at 12 noon. A procession to St. Colmcille’s Holy Well will take place immediately after the midday Mass.

Festivities will continue from 4.30pm at Durrow GAA Pitch, where a packed programme of activities is planned for all ages.

Attractions include a Sports Day, face painting, balloon modelling, Little Big Town, and a variety of races throughout the afternoon. Sporting highlights will include a school match and a senior football match.

Admission is €5 for adults, while children can attend free of charge.

The celebrations will conclude with a céilí in Durrow Hall from 8pm to 11pm, featuring music by Michael Sexton. The Pattern Raffle Draw will take place at 10pm.

Food and refreshments will also be available on the day, with Supermacs and the Coffee Hut on site.
