Ultra endurance athlete embraces support of Cloghan community

An ultra endurance athlete who is running the double length of Ireland met with members of the Cloghan community and representatives of Family Carers Ireland as he completed day four of his challenge on Thursday.

Chris Connolly, known as 'Get Better with Chris', is undertaking a world record attempt as he runs from Mizen Head to Malin Head, before returning to his starting point in County Cork.

He is taking on the ultra-endurance challenge to raise essential funds for Family Carers Ireland, the national charity supporting family carers and young carers across the country.

The challenge is a powerful story of perseverance, resilience, and comeback, as Chris pushes his physical and mental limits while bringing communities across Ireland together.
