Fifth anniversary of local credit union amalgamation marked with community event in Kilcormac
Tullamore Credit Union recently celebrated five successful years since the amalgamation of Tullamore Credit Union and Kilcormac Credit Union.
To mark the occasion, a special anniversary event took place at the Kilcormac office on Saturday. Members of the community joined in what was a fun-filled and memorable day. Visitors enjoyed fantastic giveaways throughout the day, along with complimentary refreshments provided on-site. This milestone marked not just five years of operation, but five years of strong community partnership, trusted financial services, and continued growth for Tullamore Credit Union within Kilcormac and the surrounding areas.
Sean Cravey, a member of the Board of Directors at Tullamore Credit Union, said: “I was on the Board of Directors in 2021 when a decision was taken by the members of Kilcormac Credit Union to carry out a transfer of engagement with Tullamore Credit Union. At the time we would have been a little apprehensive about the move, but now five years later the Credit Union has gone from strength to strength in our community and we are offering all the services now that are available in Tullamore Credit Union. I continue to serve on the Board for Directors of Tullamore Credit Union.”
Kilcormac Credit Union continues to offer a range of products to support members, including a new 35-year mortgage term to help first-time buyers get onto the property ladder. It also provides an Aided Home Improvement Loan in partnership with Offaly County Council, supporting access to home adaptation grants.
