Offaly players names on Tailteann Cup 'Team of the Week'

Two Offaly senior footballers have been named on the GAA.ie Tailteann Cup 'Team of the Week'.

Despite their exit at the semi-final stage of the competition, both Jack McEvoy and Keith O'Neill have been selected for their individual contributions to the Faithful County's display against Wicklow in Croke Park at the weekend.

Clonbollogue centrefielder McEvoy scored 1-4 of his team's 4-15 total, while his club colleague O'Neill hit 0-4, as Offaly bowed out of the Tailteann Cup following defeat to the Garden County.

First half goals from Dylan Hyland, Marcus Dalton and Shane Tierney had Offaly in a commanding eight point half-time lead, but they failed to capitalise on their dominance in the second period, Wicklow outscoring the Faithful County by 1-17 to 1-4 to advance to the final.
