A reunion of Bord na Móna's Boora workshop employees took place on Saturday, June 27, in Teach Lea Boora.

"One workshop, one community, one family" was the theme of the event, which drew a large attendance.

In addition to providing an opportunity for former colleagues to gather with each other again, the event celebrated 80 years (1946 to 2026) of Bord na Móna's existence in the local area.

On the day, Mass was celebrated by Fr PJ Hughes, and a stone monument dedicated to "all the workers of Bórd na Móna Boora past and present, 1946 to 2026" was unveiled.
