Ireland's tallest treehouse officially reopens at Birr Castle Demesne

The reimagined Tallest Treehouse in Ireland was officially launched yesterday at Birr Castle Demesne, marking the opening of an exciting new attraction designed to inspire adventure and imaginative play for visitors of all ages.

The launch brought together members of the Board of the Birr Scientific & Heritage Foundation, the Parsons Family, representatives from Visit Offaly and Ireland's Hidden Heartlands, local Teachta Dála representatives, elected members of Birr Municipal District, and project partners Garden Escapes Ltd and Proludic France.

The new treehouse has been developed to enhance the visitor experience at Birr Castle Demesne, offering families a unique opportunity to climb, explore and enjoy what is recognised as Ireland's tallest treehouse.

The attraction aims to encourage outdoor play, spark young imaginations and add another memorable experience to the historic estate.

Speaking at the launch, representatives acknowledged the collaborative effort behind the project, paying tribute to Garden Escapes Ltd and Proludic France for their commitment throughout the development.

Thanks were also extended to the Birr Castle Demesne team, with special recognition given to Maria McGovern, Lorna Shannon, Shane Hollywood and John O'Grady for their dedication in bringing the project to fruition.

The Tallest Treehouse in Ireland is now open to visitors, who are invited to discover the new attraction as part of their visit to Birr Castle Demesne.
