Offaly comedian to cast his eye over Limerick and Galway on 'Up For The Match'

Offaly comedian Neil Delamere will be among the contributors to RTÉ's Up For The Match this Saturday evening, which will be broadcast live from Croke Park for the first time.

Ahead of Sunday's encounter between Limerick and Galway in the All Ireland senior hurling final, RTÉ said Edenderry's Delamere "will be taking a celebratory look at the two county finalists with two short films from the regions".

Presenters Jacqui Hurley, Dáithí Ó Sé and Louise Cantillon will be joined by 300 excited fans in the Croke Park studio, overlooking the pitch, as they enjoy the build-up to the All-Ireland Final the next day.

Guests on the programme are set to include former Limerick captain and manager TJ Ryan, Galway's Joe Connolly who captained Galway to the Liam MacCarthy in 1980 ending a 57-year wait, All-Ireland winning goalkeeper with Galway James Skehill, Limerick All-Ireland winner Shane Dowling, Live 95's Donn O'Sullivan, former Munster Championship winner Leo O'Connor, the voice of Gaelic Games on Galway Bay FM, Seán Walsh, and All-Ireland winning Galway manager Cyril Farrell.

Up For The Match – Live From Croke Park is airing this Saturday at 8pm RTÉ One and the RTÉ Player and next Saturday, July 25, at 9.30pm ahead of the football final between Mayo and Kerry.
