25 parkruns for Bernie

It was another beautiful and sunny morning for Mountlucas parkrun at the weekend. There was one milestone achieved at the event: Bernie Nutterfield completed her 25th parkrun.

Bernie first completed a parkrun in June 2024 and has been working towards the 25 milestone since then. Bernie is an avid walker and is famous for walking the streets of Edenderry daily. Her motto is "get up, get out, and keep being active". She loves Mountlucas parkrun for both the beautiful scenery and the comradarie between everyone and the welcome everyone gets each Saturday.

Mountlucas parkrun takes place at Bord na Móna Mountlucas windfarm every Saturday morning at 9.30am sharp. There's something for everyone at Mountlucas parkrun whether you want to walk, run, volunteer or just meet new people. Parkrun isn’t just a timed run: it’s about community, inclusivity, and wellbeing. Every event at Mountlucas brings together people of all ages and abilities, creating a warm, encouraging atmosphere.
