Press photographer of the year exhibition to return to Offaly

Ireland’s stories in images (for 2025) is returning to Offaly as the AIB Press Photographers Ireland CLG annual exhibition will soon be on display in Oxmantown Hall, Birr.

The exhibition will take place from July 28 to August 7, as part of the line-up for Birr Vintage Week and Arts Festival 2026.

Now in its 48th year, the Press Photographer of the Year Award celebrates the best of Irish press photography. The exhibition features all the winning and shortlisted images covering Irish life, at home and abroad, during 2025, and highlights the skill of Ireland’s top press photographers, including the overall winner, Mark Condren.

Commenting ahead of the exhibition’s arrival to Birr, Dan Linehan, president of Press Photographers Ireland CLG, said: “We are delighted that the exhibition is visiting Offaly once again this year as part of the fantastic Birr Vintage Week and Arts Festival. We hope that locals and visitors alike will enjoy browsing the exhibition and viewing the award-winning and highly acclaimed photography.”
