Tullamore Camera Club shares May winners inspired by vintage theme

Tullamore Camera Club's has shared the winners of its May monthly competition , who were inspired by a vintage theme and showcased a wide range of creative interpretations.

The overall winner, selected by club members and guest judge Pat McKeon, photography tutor at Moate Business School, was Nuala Lynch. Her striking black-and-white image of a blacksmith at work, captured in Killarney, impressed the judge with its strong composition and authentic vintage atmosphere.

Second place went to Seán Hayes for his evocative black-and-white photograph of a retro camera, while Jackie Morrissey received the Committee's Choice award for her photograph of her son, taken at the JFK Museum in County Wexford.

Other notable entries included Jonathan Mann's image of Torrevieja Port in Spain, Valeria Al Tawil's photograph of Dog's Beach in Roundstone, Connemara, Kinga Kacak's woodland scene Forest Fruits taken in Ballinafad Wood, and Seán McKenna's close-up of a Silver-washed Fritillary butterfly photographed at Finnamore.

Tullamore Camera Club welcomes photographers of all abilities and meets on the last Thursday of each month at the Offaly History Centre, Tullamore (R35 Y5V0).

New members and visitors are always welcome, and no previous photography experience is required.
