Expressions of interest sought for community prefabs
Offaly County Council is inviting expressions of interest from not-for-profit community and voluntary groups for a number of prefabricated units.
The council is making three small and one large unit available.
The three small units are approximately 3m x 9m and require some refurbishment works.
The units may be suitable for a meeting space or workshop. One unit will be offered to one eligible group in each Municipal District. The Group must be registered with Offaly PPN.
The planned use of the unit must benefit the local community and relate to the key priority areas identified in the Offaly Local Economic and Community Plan (LECP) 2024-2029.
The planned location of the unit must be agreed with Offaly County Council, and with appropriate agreements with landowner in place.
The unit will be taken by the group in its current condition (the group will be responsible for the removal and refurbishment of the unit).
Closing date for receipt of Expression of Interest is Wednesday, August 19.

There is also a larger prefabricated unit, approximately 15m x 15m and which requires some refurbishment works. Note also that the installation of the unit requires planning permission.
The multi-space unit may be suitable for meeting spaces or workshops. The unit will be offered to an eligible group.
