Coláiste Naomh Cormac students recognised at All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil

Students from Colaiste Naomh Cormac Kilcormac have been commended by the secondary school for their respective competition achievements at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in Belfast at the weekend.

Four students earned podium places at the annually held festival celebrating traditional Irish music, song, dance, and culture.

Luke Guinan claimed the All-Ireland concertina award in the 12-15 age category and he added a silver medal to his collection when placing second, alongside fellow student Harry Buckley in the concertina trio competition in the same age category.

Fiadhna Leamy impressed the judges to win the melodeon competition in the 15-18 age category and Alice Molloy completed a successful weekend for students of the co-educational school when placing third in the English ladies competition for competitors aged 12-15.
