Collaborative launch event for Shinrone community pitch and walkway project

The launch of the Shinrone community new pitch and walkway project will take place in Shinrone Community Centre on Saturday, August 29, at 7.30pm.

Shinrone Development Ltd, Shinrone GAA and Shinrone Camogie, have united for the purpose of enhancing the rural village's community facilities which they say continue to 'play a vital role in our locality'.

The collaborative fundraising initiative forward is aimed at developing a new GAA/camogie pitch and community walkway which 'will be available to locals and visitors alike'.

The project involves the construction of a new modern playing field, a fully accessible lit community walking track, alongside all necessary ancillary site works.

'The development will enhance local recreational amenities and provide a safe, quality facility for competitive sport, recreational fitness and wider community events,' the collaborative group said.

Members of the Shinrone community have been invited to the launch night at which they will be informed about the project, meet those behind the initiative and 'celebrate what the development will mean for Shinrone'.
