Tullamore Musical Society to host show auditions

Auditions for Tullamore Musical Society's 2027 production 'The Producers' will take place in Killeigh Community Centre from Sunday, September 6.

Tullamore Musical Society announced the Tony award winning show as its 2027 production in May. It will perform at Esker Arts from February 13-20 next year.

'The Producers' is a musical comedy about a down-on-his-luck Broadway producer and his shy accountant who scheme to get rich by raising way more money than they need for a terrible show, intending to keep the profits when it immediately bombs, only for the production to accidentally become a smash hit.

The Tullamore Musical Society production will be directed by Chris Corroon, with Enda O'Connor returning to the role of musical director. Laura Douglas compete's the show's production team as choreographer.

Prior to the start of the audition process, the Society will host a show workshop in Tullamore Rugby Club on Tuesday, September 1, from 7pm-10pm.
