GALLERY: Clara home renovation features on RTÉ's Cheap Irish Homes
A spectacular home renovation completed by Clara native Paddy Bracken has featured on RTÉ's Cheap Irish Homes this week.
The 24-year-old began renovating the home in Church Street in Clara in March of 2024, and has now transformed the once dilapidated building.
Paddy first put in an offer on the home in January of 2024, receiving planning permission to proceed with the renovation in March of that year.
Since then, the home has been gutted, re-plastered, and styled into an almost unrecognisable home which exudes comfort and modernity.
Speaking about the experience in a post to his Instagram page, Bramble House, Paddy said being part of the show "has been absolutely incredible".
"When myself and my father first started renovating Bramble House, I never could have imagined that one day I’d be watching it back on television," he said.
"From the early days of the renovation, all the hard work, stress, decisions, setbacks and countless hours of hard work, to finally seeing Bramble House on RTÉ — it’s been some journey and made it all so worth while."
He added that he is 'so grateful' for all of those who have followed along his journey, bringing him the opportunity to share it on RTÉ.
"I’m so grateful to everyone who has followed along from the beginning and to all the new followers who have joined me since started renovation and since the programme aired. There’s been so much love and support, and I genuinely appreciate every single bit of it. Thanks again for watching me on RTÉ’s Cheap Irish Homes, thank you for believing in Bramble House, and most importantly, thank you for being part of the journey."
