300 Parkruns for Rita at Mountlucas Parkrun

This week's Mountlucas parkrun saw a special milestone celebrated for regular Rita Corcoran, who completed her 300th parkrun.

Rita was supported on the morning by her family, including her husband, children and grandchildren.

They had brought along a generous supply of cakes and treats for all attendees, as well as large "300" balloons to mark the occasion. Rita first completed a parkrun in 2018 and has been a regular at Mountlucas parkrun ever since. She has completed all but 2 of her 300 parkruns at Mountlucas parkrun. Rita wore a special "300 parkruns" tshirt which her family had specially made for her milestone.

Speaking to Rita after the event she said: "I was delighted to complete my 300th parkrun today surrounded by family and all the friends I have made since I started the parkrun in Mountlucas. I am looking forward to many more parkruns!”

Mountlucas parkrun takes place at Bord na Móna Mountlucas windfarm every Saturday morning at 9.30am sharp. There's something for everyone at Mountlucas parkrun whether you want to walk, run, volunteer or just meet new people.
