Tullamore Harriers launch 'Run & Coffee' club
Tullamore Harriers AC has launched a new 'Run & Coffee' club, the first meeting of which took place on Sunday morning.
The athletics club is encouraging runners, male and female, of all levels, to meet at the Old Warehouse on the town's Bury Quay, to meet at 8.30am every Sunday for a morning of social running.
The run is aimed at those who usually run solo and wish to meet "like-minded" people and runners who would also like to increase their mileage or prepare to compete in 5km and 10km races.
'Whatever your goal, this could be just what you need to get started and build a foundation," Tullamore Harriers said in a social media post.
There is no need to pre-book or register for the weekend run 'just lace up and turn up'.
Members of Tullamore Harriers will be there to guide and encourage you along the way, with 'plenty of advice, support and, of course, a bit of banter as we clock up the kilometres'.
Post run, participants are encouraged to unwind for a 'coffee and a chat' at the Old Warehouse.
'Come along, give it a go and see where it takes you. Run together. Improve together. Have fun together. Then coffee together'.
