Rahan Comhaltas announces weekend of celebration for its 30th anniversary

Rahan Comhaltas is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.

As part of the celebrations the branch plans to host a trip down memory lane, in Rahan Hall, on Saturday, October 24.

The day will start at 2pm, with an array of photos videos and memorabilia on display from 2-5pm, followed by an open session from 6.30-8pm, including a newly composed song for the occasion: “The Stage in Rahan Hall”.

The hard-working committee has designed a booklet and a calendar full of articles and photographs gathered from times past and times present.

From 9pm, there will be a céilí with “Rise the Dust”, which promises to be a great night’s dancing and craic, as always.

On Sunday, October 25, the branch will conclude celebrations with Mass in Killina Church at 10.30am.

Organisers say they would love to see as many people as possible attend, join in the fun and craic and celebrations.
