Finance Minister to address Offaly Fine Gael budget breakfast
Offaly Fine Gael, and John Clendennen, TD, are inviting the public to the party's annual budget breakfast on Friday next, October 30.
Budget Day brings a huge volume of announcements, figures and analysis; but what does Budget 2027 actually mean for families, workers, businesses and communities in Offaly?
The Offaly Fine Gael budget breakfast on October 30 will take place at the Tullamore Court Hotel, providing an opportunity to look beyond the headlines and discuss the measures contained in Budget 2027 as well as what they mean locally.
The special guest at the event will be An Tánaiste and Minister for Finance, Simon Harris, who will provide his insights into the budget and take part in a discussion on the choices made, the challenges facing our economy, and the priorities for the period ahead.
Budget 2027 contains a range of measures which will have a direct impact on households and businesses. It aims to cut the cost of everyday life, help with energy costs, support older people, carers, people with disabilities and build for a growing country.
For rural counties such as Offaly, it is equally important that national policy recognises the particular pressures facing rural households, farmers and businesses alongside the need for continued investment in housing, transport, healthcare and infrastructure.
Last year, Offaly Fine Gael welcomed the then-Minister for Finance, Paschal Donohoe, to the budget breakfast in Tullamore. The event brought together representatives from the local business community and wider public for an informative discussion on Budget 2026 and the economic outlook. The party is looking forward to building on last year's success and once again providing an opportunity for people in Offaly to hear directly from the Minister for Finance. The Offaly Fine Gael Budget Breakfast takes place on Friday 30 October 2026 at the Tullamore Court Hotel, from 7.30am. A full Irish breakfast will be served.
