Fivealley SEC shortlisted for SEAI Energy Awards

Fivealley SEC has been shortlisted for Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) Energy Awards.

The Fivevalley group has been nominated for the Inspirational Sustainable Energy Community category.

Through Ireland’s largest community-led Solar Meitheal initiative, more than 700 solar panels have been installed across 57 local homes in Fivevalley, helping households generate renewable electricity and reduce their energy costs.

"The Fivealley community has shown what can be achieved when local people come together with a shared ambition for a more sustainable future," BNM said, sharing its well wishes for the group.

"We are proud to have supported this initiative through our Derrinlough Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund, working alongside SEAI and the local community to help make the project possible.

"It’s a fantastic example of community-led action delivering real, lasting benefits in the Midlands."
