Offaly native chosen on camogie club championship 'Team of the Year'

Offaly native and camogie star Tina Bradley has been selected on the 2019/2020 AIB Camogie Club Championship Team of the Year.

Tina (née Hannon) plays with the Slaughtneil club in Derry, with whom she has enjoyed considerable success in recent years. Tina (née Hannon) is married to Patsy, a former Gaelic football star with Derry.

Hailing from the Naomh Bríd club in Offaly, Tina won All-Ireland medals with Offaly at Premier Junior and Intermediate level in 2009 and 2010.

The former Offaly star hit 1-5 in Slaughtneil's semi-final win over Scarriff-Ogonnelloe, and all season was lethal both from play and from placed balls. Both a scorer and a provider, Bradley is fully deserving of her award.

The 'Team of the Year' features six players from All-Ireland champions Sarsfields of Galway, and the same number from Ulster champions and All-Ireland finalists Slaughtneil.

Four players, one from each province, were named as Provincial Players of the Year - Aoife Ní Chaiside of Slaughtneil (Ulster), Niamh Hetherton of St Vincent's (Leinster), Mairéad Scanlan from Munster champions Scariff-Ogonelloe (Clare) and Siobhán McGrath of Sarsfields (Connacht).

The four players are now in the running for the prestigious AIB Camogie Club Player of the Year award, with the winner to be announced on AIB GAA social channels this Friday, April 3.

Whilst the current Covid-19 emergency prevents the holding of a ceremony to celebrate the announcement of the 2019/2020 AIB Camogie Club Player Team and Player of the Year, AIB together with the Camogie Association, still want to acknowledge the selected players for their incredible performances throughout the season. All 15 players whose performances, skills and talent lit up the AIB All Ireland Camogie Club Championship will be awarded with hand crafted trophies created by renowned sculptor Jarlath Daly.

The four Provincial Players of the Year were chosen from the overall Team of the Year, which consist of the below list of 15 players:
