Nashville ties of High Kings" support act
Most people should have their tickets by now to see The High Kings in the Bridge House Hotel next Tuesday October 21. However, the Kings" support act may garner a lot of interest in her own right. Cathy Maguire, a singer from Dundalk, recorded her first album at the age of 12. But it was during her time in Nashville that Cathy came of age in the musical world. The first person she met there introduced her to Cowboy Jack Clement, a producer who has worked with Johnny Cash, Louis Armstrong, Jerry Lee Lewis and U2, amongst many others. She even saw Cash record his last songs. Cathy has since written with some of the most prolific songwriters in Nashville including five times Ivor Norvello winner Roger Cook, of world renowned writing duo Cook and Greenway. Her new album is due to be released in the new year. It includes a rare mix of accomplished self-penned songs and classics from artists that have truly inspired Cathy. Don"t miss this interesting emerging Irish talent, Tickets are on sale at the Bridge House reception.
