Met Éireann issue snow and ice warning for Laois/Offaly
With a spell of cold weather expected to sweep across Ireland to herald in the New Year, Met Éireann have issued a yellow level snow/ice weather warning for 13 counties tomorrow (Wednesday) including parts of Laois and Offaly.
The weather warning comes into effect from midnight tonight (Tuesday) until 12 noon tomorrow (Wednesday) with a risk of snow accumulations on lower levels.
The affected counties where Met Éireann have issued the snow/ice warning include Carlow, Cork, Donegal, Kildare, Kilkenny, Leitrim, Sligo, Tipperary, Waterford, Wexford and Wicklow, along with parts of Laois and Offaly.
Motorists are advised to take care on the roads, and watch out for accumulations of snow in low lying areas.
