Proceeds of Tullamore Remembrance Tree project handed to charity

Tullamore & District Rotary Club presented Friends of Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore with a cheque for €1,000 last Friday.

The funds were the proceeds of their Remembrance Tree project.

The presentation took place in the Healing Garden at the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore and was attended by members of Tullamore & District Rotary Club and Friends of Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore Committee.

The remembrance tree project captures the essence of the Christmas spirit and also provides a heartfelt way of remembering loved ones amid all the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season, while also supporting local charities.

This year, Tullamore & District Rotary Club chose Friends of Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore as the preferred charity for their excellent work in providing much-needed additional services at Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore.

Friends of the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore is run by a small but active committee and they are dedicated to improving the hospital's services. Over the years, the charity has brought much needed additional services to the hospital such as a finometer and tilt table, a beautiful healing garden, an end of life room to name just a few.
