Shane Lowry celebrates terrific Offaly U20s win from America with father Brendan

Shane Lowry found time to celebrate Offaly becoming Leinster U20 hurling champions from America, even as he prepares for the USPGA tournament that tees off today, May 18.

Lowry, from Clara, posted a picture of his father and himself on Twitter following the match, with the caption: "Two very happy Offaly men here in Rochester. Great win for our @Offaly_GAA under 20s this evening and great to see a bit of silverware heading for Offaly again."

His father Brendan Lowry is a former Offaly Gaelic footballer and 1982 All-Ireland winner.

Offaly's U20s put on an impressive display on Wednesday night at Netwatch Cullen Park to overcome Wexford by 1-21 to 0-22, with Adam Screeney's goal in the 42nd minute proving crucial to their eventual victory.

With this win, Offaly are through to the All-Ireland final against Munster champions Cork on Saturday, May 27.
