Edenderry student to feature in new RTÉ series Face the Music

Offaly's Rachael Conaghan, an exceptionally talented classical singer from Edenderry, is set to feature in new RTÉ series Face the Music.

This is a new 3-part documentary series that follows a number of gifted students and their teachers at the Royal Irish Academy of Music during a pivotal year in its 175-year history.

Throughout this 3-part series, we meet some of the exceptionally gifted students and their teachers who dedicate their lives to pursuit of excellence in music.

In episode 1, vocal student Rachael is about to have major jaw surgery to fix a misalignment that is impacting her singing - but first, she must audition for a lead role in the opera. Will she recover in time, or will the surgery derail her ambitions?

Face the Music will air from Thursday, June 22 at 10.15pm on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player.
