Rahan Drama Group set to stage new comedy by local writer
Rahan Drama Group is preparing to stage a world premiere of a new comedy play over St Patrick's weekend.
'The Plan' by local man Aidan Grennan takes place from March 15 to March 17 inclusive at 8pm in Rahan Hall.
'The Plan' is set in the run-down home shared by two cousins. These guys are 'chancers' and have read an online story of a haunted house abroad. It gives them the idea to make handy money by creating their own version of having a similarly haunted home. They get their 'story' published in that great Offaly paper, 'The Ballyghoulish Observer'.
Two professional ghost-hunters arrive to check out the house, offering good money to stay over, on what is a very stormy night. But other people arrive too, unannounced. Will these latest callers throw the 'plan' into chaos? And why are the Gardaí at the door, early next morning? All will be revealed in this brilliant comedy production is produced by Micheál Gleeson, who also stars on stage.
Booking for ‘The Plan’ from March 15 to 17 inclusive is via 086 0886648. Ticket prices are adults €12 and under 16s €5.
