Tullamore Harriers athlete helps Irish relay team break world record

Tullamore Harriers club member Eileen Kenny continues to enhance her masters athletics prowess, the runner being a core member of the 4x400m relay team which shattered the world record during a recent indoor race meeting at the National Indoor Arena in Dublin.

Eileen, alongside her teammates, Evelyn McNelis (Naas AC), June Comiskey (Raheny AC), and Phyllis Browne (Star of the Sea AC), crossed the finish line in a time of 7.20.14, the quartet taking over a minute off the previous record of 8.42.71 which was set in the USA in 2022.

Eileen continues to represent her country with distinction, this latest record breaking accolade adding to an ever growing list of international running achievements.
