School students embark on river challenge for Gaisce award

Last week, the Coláiste Naomh Cormac TY class of 2025 embarked on an exciting adventure challenge as part of their Gaisce Bronze award.

Over two action-packed days, the students kayaked a total of 25 kilometers along the River Barrow.

They camped at the Scouts Den in Graiguenamanagh, where they not only prepared dinner for one another but also enjoyed some fun team sports in the evening.

On Friday morning, the group set off early for the final stretch of their journey down the river. A huge congratulations to all the students who completed the challenge. A special thank you to Ms. Hennessy and Mr. Kennedy for accompanying the students and making this trip a memorable experience.
