Tullamore exhibition to explore Irish art's relationship with boglands
A new exhibition in Tullamore will examine "the relationship of Irish art to the boglands" over the past half-century.
'BogSkin' is the title of the exhibition, which will be officially opened in the Esker Arts Centre on High Street at 3pm on Saturday, May 10.
The exhibition's curator, Patrick T. Murphy of Dublin's Royal Hibernian Academy of Arts (RHA), will perform the opening.
'BogSkin' is coming to Offaly after it featured at the RHA in January.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a fully illustrated catalogue with contributions by Seamus Heaney, Colm Tóibín and Marina Carr.
Admission to the exhibition is free and, following the opening on May 10, it will remain on display until June 28.
