Tullamore community centre to host content creation lessons for teens
Tullamore's St Mary's Youth and Community Centre are preparing to host 'My Life Online' content creation lessons for teenagers.
The course will take place from August 11 to 13 in St Mary's Youth and Community Centre from 10am to 3pm.
The course is free of charge, and registration closes on July 21.
My Life Online is a communications and digital media programme delivered by Midlands Science and supported by the Rethink Ireland TikTok Digital Future Fund.
Participants will be making science based TikToks and Instagram reels as part of the programme and have the chance to use professional filming and editing equipment.
Whether they are interested in filming, scriptwriting, editing, science or journalism this is a unique opportunity to take part in a programme which includes all aspects of online content development.
The teens will be asked to complete a short evaluation form on the final day of the programme and if you have any interest in further developing an idea you have for a short film or social media content.
They will have the opportunity to sign up for some direct one on one mentoring with Apple Tart Productions through this programme and details of this will be provided to you upon completion of the programme.
This programme has been designed for teenagers. Contact the office on 0579322963 or email slawlor@stmarysyouthcentre.ie to book a spot.
