Gardai looking for owner of gold ring found in Birr

Gardai in Offaly are looking for the owner of a gold ring that was found in the Birr area.

The jewellery piece is described as "a gold ring with a coloured stone".

It was found in the Birr area, and Gardai posted details of the find on social media today (Wednesday) in an effort to locate its owner.

The Garda message to the public is: If you believe this ring may be yours, contact lo.pems.offaly@garda.ie quoting reference number: 25879137.

Proof of ownership will be required before the item is returned.
