Tullamore Credit Union holds junior members’ day
On Saturday, July 26, Tullamore Credit Union held its annual Junior Members’ Day in Leah Victoria Park.
With glorious sunshine and a fantastic turnout, the junior members of the credit union enjoyed a wide range of fun-filled activities including face painting, bungee jumping, an obstacle course, a sweet shop, and, of course, lots of ice cream to keep everyone cool!
A big highlight of the day was the talent competition, with prizes awarded in two age categories – Under 8 and Over 8s – showcasing the amazing skills and confidence of our young members.
Several special guests were welcomed along to the event: Three characters from the Tullamore Panto joined the festivities, bringing plenty of fun and laughter. Tullamore Credit Union also announced that it will again be sponsoring this year’s panto, Jack and the Beanstalk – stay tuned for more details later in the year.
Adding to the excitement, Mark Troy, goalkeeper for the Offaly senior hurling team, took on the challenge of saving penalty shots from the enthusiastic junior members – and, yes, a few sliotars even got past him!
Offaly Rose Nicole Heffernan was another very special guest, along with representatives from the Fire Brigade, Ambulance Service, and Gardaí, who brought along their vehicles and gave children a chance to explore and learn more about the vital work they do.
And to top it all off, some more special guests – alpacas – were on hand for the children to meet, pet, and pose for photos with!
The Junior Members’ Day is an annual event. If your child doesn’t yet have a Tullamore Credit Union account, you can contact its office on 057 93 51780 to arrange an appointment or visit www.tullamorecu.ie to check what documents are needed.
