'Backwards Broadway' is coming to Tullamore

After over 70 years on stage, Tullamore Musical Society is getting ready to turn musical theatre upside down.

The local group is preparing to stage Backwards Broadway, a concert with a twist.

The show, which takes place in the Tullamore Court Hotel on Sunday, September 28, invites audiences to expect their favourite Broadway hits, performed in unexpected ways. There will be men belting out iconic diva numbers while women will be tackling classic leading-man songs. All of your favourite songs will be reimagined with surprising twists.

"It's a playful, heartfelt celebration of musical theatre that breaks the rules, flips the casting, and proves that a great song shines no matter who sings it," said Tullamore Musical Society.

"Hosted by Chris Corroon and Aoife Fitzsimons, this is a night not to be missed, you’ll love every unexpected twist."

Tickets for 'Backwards Broadway' will be on sale in The Bridge Centre,Tullamore, this Saturday, September 20, from 12-3pm. Alternatively people can buy them through gr8events.ie. Tickets are €20 and under 12's are €15.
