One way system for Edenderry's JKL Street until December

Offlay County Council has given notice of a new road layout on the busiest street in the north Offaly town of Edenderry, JKL Street, with a section of the street due to become one-way until December 12 next.

The section of the town's main street which will have a one-way traffic system implemented from Wednesday of this week, October 10, until Friday, December 12 next is between Larkin's Bar & Lounge and O'Connell Square.

Westbound Traffic will be allowed to travel one-way along JKL Street, except for minor delays, while Eastbound traffic will be asked to divert at the junction of St. Conleth's Road and JKL Street. The diversion for Eastbound traffic will be via St. Conleth's Road and the Edenderry Inner Relief Road.

Traffic coming from the Carbury direction will not be affected.

Bus passengers have been advised that the bus stop at O'Connell Square will be moved to outside the Medical Hall Pharmacy, while the bus stop at Aldi will be moved to opposite Lidl at Hare's Lane.

Offaly County Council has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
