Tullamore Camera Club has shared the winning entries in its monthly competitions for September and October.

In September, the competiton theme was 'Animals and Pets'. In first place was Phil Brady's photo of a field mouse with a nut.

Kieran McEvoy's photo of a pine marten came in second place, while judge Darren Kennedy of Birr also gave the 'judge's choice' prize to Kieran for his striking photo of a fox (above). The three winning photos were each taken at Midland Photography Hides in Ballyfin.

October's competition had an open theme and was won by Kieran McEvoy with a photo taken at Monicknew in county Laois. Nuala Lynch's photo of a donkey came in second place, while the competition's judge Dominic Reddin of Mountmellick, gave the 'judge's choice' prize to Bridie Roe for her photo of the Samuel Beckett Bridge in Dublin.

Tullamore Camera Club's next meeting takes place on Thursday, November 27, in the Offaly History premises at 8pm. New members are welcome, no experience required.
