Elvis will be top the bill at an open air concert in Edenderry taking place next Saturday June 27. Organised by Edenderry Entertainers Commemorative Committee, the show will also feature the cream of local talent and promises to be yet another unforgettable afternoon. The show is gets underway at 2pm. Other acts due to appear include Eden, Pauric Brown, Destiny, Sean Norman, Off The Wall, Gerry McCormack, Pat Cleary, Tara Shamrock, John Nolan, Thomas Nolan and Albert Flynn with PJ McCormack also secured for the big day out. The line-up will suit all ages and tastes. The committee has decided to organise a collection during the concert and the money collected will go towards the erection of a headstone at St Mary"s Cemetery to the memory of all deceased members. It was decided at a recent committee meeting that members of organisations who have been benefactors of previous events organised by the committee should conduct the collection. Those willing to assist should contact Secretary Ed Kenny at 40 Carrick Vale, Edenderry or call him on 086 3856566. Edenderry Entertainers Commemorative Committee has never become involved in fundraising themselves, but is forced to make an exception on this occasion. Relatives of deceased entertainers are particularly requested to donate as generously as current financial conditions allow.
