Witness appeal after crash outside Tullamore

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a two car collision on the R420 Tullamore to Geashill Road just outside Tullamore yesterday evening (Sunday, November 11).

According to Gardaí the collision occurred at approximately 7.50pm, and one of the cars involved left the scene before emergency services arrived.

The young male driver of the other car was brought to the Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore with serious injuries. Those injuries are thought not to be life threatening however. Two female teenage passengers in the same car were also brought to the Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore, both with minor injuries.

The road remains closed to motorists this morning (Monday, November 12). Anyone with information about the collision is asked to contact Tullamore Gardaí on 057 9327600.
