Offaly Spelling Bee to get underway this morning

A Spelling Bee competition is set to kick off in Offaly in less than an hour. The 2013 Eason Spelling Bee together with RTE 2FM's Tubridy this year has attracted more than 800 school entries. The Offaly competition will be contested today (Thursday) at 11am in Lumcloon National School in Cloghan.

Winners from today's competition in Cloghan will be invited to take part in the provincial finals in June, which will be aired on RTE 2FM's Tubridy show. The four winners of the provincial finals will then go head to head in the All-Ireland Spelling Bee.
