Casey calls to The Thatch this weekend

Offaly fans of Paddy Casey have a great chance to catch Meteor winner Paddy Casey in an intimate acoustic gig this weekend in The Thatch, Rahan. The popular singer/songwriter takes to the stage on Saturday, November 22 for a special acoustic evening as part of the Up Close and Personal Sessions during his whistle-stop Irish tour. Playing tunes from his current album "Addicted to Company part 1", fans can look forward crowd pleasers like "Saints and Sinners" "Lucky One" and "You"ll Get By" on the night in what promises to be a super live show. The talented Dubliner is currently on tour with Sharon Shannon and Mundy in the UK, returning for some small intimate shows before embarking on his already sold out Christmas tour. He is also riding high in the charts with the coveted number 1 spot of the Irish Music DVD charts for his "Live at Vicar Street" release. For anybody who has attended a Damien Dempsey gig in The Thatch, organisers say it was a memorable experience, and as always tickets will be like gold dust for the gig considering he has sold out his last three performances at the venue. Local lads "The Dirty Blaggards" will supply support to Damien Dempsey on the night.
